As your State Senator, I will fight against irresponsible and unsustainable government spending.
Taxpayer money should be invested in needs— education, healthcare, roads and, not on special interest and lobbyists’ wants.
The State of Maine's government is addicted to spending! The State's budget has ballooned to over $8 billion with no end in sight unless we take a stand and say enough is enough!
Mainers currently face some of the highest tax rates in the country. As your State Senator, I will fight for your ability to keep more of your own money.
Despite already facing some of the highest tax rates in the country, there are efforts being taken to add even more taxes! There are current efforts underway to add new gas and fuel taxes as well as a city sales tax! I oppose those efforts to add more taxes and will fight against them! Enough is enough.
Our Senior Citizens and those living on a fixed income are in real trouble if we don't find a way to stop out of control spending now! Several times a week I hear stories of how letters are being sent to Mainers placing tax liens on their property because people can no longer afford to pay their property tax bill. I will introduce legislation to protect our Senior Citizens and those living on a fixed income to prevent them from the risk of losing their homes due to not being able to pay skyrocketing property tax bills.
Capital goes where it’s welcome and stays where it’s appreciated.
One of Maine’s most successful economic development programs.
